Months ago I read Kansas Brides and since then I've reread most of it dozens of times. My favorite of the four is probably either Never a Bride or Stranger's Bride, but I liked all four very much. Also last week, I read Truth or Dare and I love it! I'm looking forwards to buying and reading more of your books.

I just got finished with Saving Grace and absolutly loved it. As an avid fiction reader, I am always looking for new authors. I picked up both of your books in the New Heights Series last week and couldn't put them down. I am going to have a hard time waiting till 2006 for the 3rd book. You did a wonderful job. I also love the balance your books have. I am hoping for some more novels from you or even another series. Thank you for the hours of pleasurable reading.

I enjoyed both books, Mending Places and Saving Grace.......I went to two bookstores today to get the third and was dissappointed that they weren't even out yet. I really should say WE both enjoyed.....as I read the books aloud to my husband while traveling. I'm looking forward to your 3rd book. They are great!

Denise I just finished Kansas Brides. That book had me in all kinds of emotions. I was laughing, crying, was angry even at times. I think my heart was pounding as hard as those women in your book was. I have read many romance books (christian) before yours, but I have to say you kept me the whole time. I like to read the novel with four stories in them. Sometimes the other novels had one or two stories that were really good and I had to struggle through the others. But not yours all four are out of this world. I didn't want to put it down. And if I did put it down I was racing to get back to it to see what was going to happen next.
Like I said I just finished and had to find out if you have any other books out there and I found this site. Once again thank you for wonderful writing. and God Bless you. And keep up the great, awesome, fantastic, inspiring writing.
Thanks
Jackie

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Stranger's Bride. The story is so touching! I've read it three times and every time I get to the part where Sara gives her life to Jesus Christ I tear up.That is so wonderful!
I am going to get Mother to read the book also. She loves Christian books just as much as I do.
Thank you for writing such great Christian books!

Just finished last page of Saving Grace. Wow! I read last night into the early morning hours until my eyes were blurry. (Somehow I missed the first book, but I will go back and catch up.)
What a great book that really touched home as I have volunteered at our Right to Life for a lot of years. Loved the way you portrayed the crisis pregnany center.
Thanks for your GREAT writing. Can't wait to read Secret Places!

Denise,
I just finished reading Kansas Brides. What a great book. All the stories were well written. My favorite was Bittersweet Bride. It made me laugh and it made me cry. Everytime I put the book down I would wonder what was happening in the story. It was as though the characters were real in my heart. That is good writing. Not very often does a book affect me in that way. Thank you for sharing your God given gift. Keep up the good work.

Hi Denise, I just recently joined Gloria Gaither's Book Club and I just received my first book from them which is Saving Grace. I have to tell you that after I read the back cover of the book I almost didn't read it. You see I had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 32 due to endometriosis. After the surgery I went into a severe depression because I knew I was never going to be able to have a child of my own. Needless to say I do my best to avoid reading or watching anything about babies because it just seems to open that old hurt of not being able to have any of my own. So, when I received your book in the mail, I was like this just can't be happening,I join a book club because I absolutely love to read and the first book I get is about babies. Boy, God sure works in mysterious ways alright! I started reading the book and couldn't put it down. I related so well with the characters in the book and the different mirage of emotions that they went through. I also really liked the realistic way in which each of them reacted to the different situations they were in. Which made me look at myself more closely, when I learned I would never be able to have a child of my own I was completely devastased I went through all the emotions of wondering why this was happening to me and why God allowed some people who abuse their childern to even have kids and why someone like me who has so much love to give a child couldn't have one. There are times I still struggle with that one. But after reading your book I realize just how far I had fallen into self pity. That I should be more thankful for the things and people in my life instead of dwelling on things I can't have. I have a wonderful husband and 3 great stepsons. Your book has made me look at myself and how I interact with other people especially those who have wronged me. Now that I know about your books I look forward to reading some more by you. I am going to go out a get Mending Places. I also think that Saving Grace is a book that every young girl should read. Thanks for writing wonderful books like this that not only tell a great story but gives you something to think about in relation to your own life. May God richly bless you.

Hi Denise,
I love your website. I have a few of the Barbour books you have listed on your site. I need to read one of them and I think I'll start with Reunions. I recognize the cover of your book that came out in March. I saw it in CBD. Hey, if you have a book giveaway, sign me up. Michelle

I am a homeschooling mother of 3 and busy volunteer in our church. As a Christian Fiction Addict, I read LOTS of great books. "Mending Places" and "Saving Grace" were such great reads! The genuineness and courage of your characters blessed me. Thanks for putting "real" people in your books! I was also pleased to learn you are a Hoosier--I grew up in Indiana also. Blessings to you and your family.

Aunt Denise,
I loved reading your new book Saving Grace. It really helped me understand teen pregentancy because I see alot of it in my school and I have had to help alot of young girls and I have also brought some to church with me so I can witness to them in a positive way.
I know one girl that just had a baby and I i'm going to give her one of your books. I can't wait to read your next book! Love, Mindy
